well its been a trying few months my new job is vastly dull, my mother was in a car accident was badly injured and died about a week later. I now habe bronchitis and I just got a letter from my doctor telling me my mamogram was abnormal. Swell, just swell.

This is going to go down as one of the worst days in a long long time. Work was fine busy but ok (still haven't heard about the promotion). Its a beautiful day so when I got home I decided to take my dogs for a walk. We got to the end of the street and were attacked by 3 pit bulls. I have two small Russell Terriers. Both were bitten. I was screaming trying to pull my dogs away they were screaming trying defend themselves. A neighbor came out and helped pull one of the dogs off. But two them just kept attacking my little girl. You can guess how I feel about her I use her name and picture here. I kept kicking the dog that had her by the throat in the head and ribs but it wouldn't get off her. Their owner finally came out and dragged the other two dogs off. THe neighbor told him that she had had to put his dogs back in his yard twice and somebody had come along and open the fence again. Not the owners fault or mine but I'm still really upset. Annabelle should be ok. I clean out the bites and I'll keep and eye on them to make sure they don't get infected. Then I get home and its a windy day and a small section of my fence blew down. My male dog got out under the fence, into a yard with another pit bull. I was able to get him out with the liberal use of bacon. The worst part of that is he was covered with mud. Now I have to give him a bath............then I am going to sit down and have many drinks.

Boy I guess I got lucky. I didn't loose any trees in the big storm, across the street two different trees came down taking out 4 fences. Lucky lucky, lucky. Ida may be getting a job in Germany!!!! I can go visit next fall. Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Rotterdam. I can't wait.

Well not such a good day today. A friend of mine got fired today. I don't know whether to be happy or sad for her. She hated her boss (along with the rest of humanity) and that was making her dread going to work and no job is worth that. But getting fired means she can get unemployment and not have to see that bitch again. I guess it is true that no cloud is so dark there is no silver lining. I am not a generally angry or hatefull person, but that woman would walk by me and I would think to myself "I hope you choke and die", then part of my brain would speak up with "you don't really mean that" and the rest of my brain would demand yes, yes it does.

I had some personal good news, my mortgage is being refinanced I will be saving about a hundered dollars a month and I get everything I paid in property tax this past year back so cool for me! But I even feel bad for feeling good about that.

BTW the CSI Miami with Sean Marh (aka Simon Tam) will be airing on Sept 15th.

oh yeah if you have already go to yahoo slash and read "primrose path" its really good.

want to know how to ruin an entire week end? Schedule a meeting with your mortgage broker on Sunday night..........I have spent the weekend cleaning and being nervous. I have know idea why I am nervous, I already have my house its not like they are going to take it away. I just want to refinance save myself some money........gah I hate this stuff.

Weird weekend in football, lots of mild upsets but atleast the Cowboys are losing!

arg today was the day of adult decisions. I met with both my insurance guy and my mortgage guy. What could be more intimidating than life insurance and refinancing your mortgage?

This has been a very nice summer for me beautiful weather, my garden has been fantastic, I have grapes, tomatoes peas and broccoli to give away this year. All my flowers have looked wonderful. There is still no rain in the forcast so that means I will still be getting tomatoes. I think I am going to try to dry some and pack them in olive oil for the winter, to go with the pounds of rasberries and blueberries in my freezer.

Next year egg plant!

Bad bad day. Its been a bad week so far but today was the very bottom. A co worker. A wonderfully sweet and kind young man was killed last night in an accident. He was riding his motercycle and somebody crossed the median and hit him head on, apparently he died almost imediately. His S/O was also a good friend. I haven't been able to get a hold of Ben I can't even imagine what he is going through.

THat makes 3 co workers (or former co workers) that have died this summer and a 4th was diagnosis with terminal cancer.

Take time out to enjoy your life, don't be a workaholic, after all do really want to remember work as you life flashes by?

So I ride to and from work every day with two friends. Both of them work for a different supervisor than I do....Both are having a horrible time with their boss, she is a dictator and a micromanager. Both bitch all the way home about how horrible she is, makes my ride home very very long.....................

so far so good with my dsl. I am still hooked up and it looks good. Not that it matters today. I was about 2 feet from being killed. I was biking back from the grocery store and crossing at the cross walk. The front car stopped and I started across, luckily I looked up just in time to stop my bike before I was right in front of a red car that just blew through the cross walk...My life didn't pass before my eyes though which is lucky I guess I would have hated to be bored when I died!

Needless to say I didn't get to cleaning the floor today...

well the fix of my dsl didn't take, so I was off line all day yesterday. Hopefully its fixed now but I am not holding my breath.

Annabelle came up lame on our walk this morning. I can't find a cut or any thing sharp in her pad she also doesn't seem to mind me touching her paw so I am not sure what is going on. I guess that means no walkies tomorrow and we'll see where we go from there.

I'm glad Lovestoread is back I missed her stories. I hope the family reunion went well, better than mine do anyway..........no fights

well my dsl crapped out yesterday..........I have had it only 1 month and already its gone bad. I called qwest and they sent out a repairman. I was expecting to take an hour or so well 4 hours later he finally got it working again. He has no idea why it wasn't working, he couldn't even get his equiptment to work, so he replaced the jack, the wire from the junction box to the jack, then replaced the line to the house still nothing...finally he replaced the modem still nothing. Then he tried it again and it worked...so go figure. Oh well, it worked but it was another day of my vacation wasted. I did get the carpet in the library cleaned and the oven started. I will finish that this evening and maybe clean out the fridge tomorrow I will clean the carpet in the bedroom. The hardwood is next dun dun dun......I hate mopping.
